From their website: “We believe every member of the Over-the-Rhine community has the right to enjoy the benefits of good health, prosperity, and well-being and has the capacity to contribute positively to the neighborhood. Through compassion, collaboration, and community building, we provide programs designed to achieve this vision.”

Bag Lunch Ministries

This volunteer-driven ministry provides bagged lunches to as many as 600 day laborers whose take-home pay can be as little as $35 for a 10-hour day. This ministry is a collaborative effort with volunteers from several parishes making the sandwiches and delivering them to us, as well assembling and distributing the lunches.

The Sarah Center

The Sarah Center provides empowerment through authentic relationship building, life skills and peer support. It serves those challenged by economic or personal issues who want to make positive changes in their lives. Our approach is unique: we foster members’ creativity through our arts curriculum. What starts as a hobby turns into a passion. With passion, dreams are awakened and lives are reclaimed.

TriHealth Outreach Ministry

The goal of this ministry is to provide improved chronic disease management, reduce reliance on emergency services, and incorporate integrative practices into everyday life. Using a broad view of health, the Outreach Ministry Nurse creatively pursues opportunities that fit for the residents of the neighborhood. In Over-the-Rhine, that includes an average caseload of approximately 12-15 patients whom the nurse visits in-home homes to provide instruction on how to manage their health. Referrals come from a variety of sources – TriHealth facilities, St. Francis Seraph Ministries staff, parish members, neighborhood clinics and social service agencies.

Franciscan Media, a non-profit organization founded by the Franciscan Friars, seeks to help Christians grow closer to God through inspiring and innovative products such as books, St. Anthony Messenger magazine, and daily online resources in the spirit of St. Francis of Assisi.
